HOF Capital welcomes university students to work with us in the following ways:
Join HOF or our portfolio companies
Year-round, HOF Capital tries to have full-time interns. Our portfolio companies are also always looking for talented people. Developers and designers are in especially high demand, but our portfolio companies are also hiring across a wide swath of departments.
Become a HOF Student Ambassador
HOF selectively partners with students or recent graduates from major universities via our Ambassador program, to help us identify companies and talent which should be on our radar.
Include HOF team members on your campus as a guest speaker
HOF Managing Partners have presented at universities including Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School, UC Berkeley Haas, National University of Singapore, New York University, Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Wharton School, and Yale School of Management. We have presented on many topics in entrepreneurship, investing, as well as on how to “hack the university”.
Partner with HOF to execute research on topics of mutual interest
For example, one of our Partners worked with a team of three Columbia MBAs (ex-McKinsey and BCG consultants) on a research study on “Best Practices of Venture Capitalists in Increasing the Value of Portfolio Companies.” He provided research materials, guidance, and introductions to interviewees (VCs, entrepreneurs, accelerators, etc.). The students published the paper in the Journal of Private Equity and numerous other influential media. The students got an A, and the paper was the most-read paper in the Journal for the year following publication.
Get advice on university-based angel group initiatives.
One of our Managing Partners founded Harvard Business School Alumni Angels of Greater New York, now the largest angel group on the East Coast. We speak regularly with other universities interested in expanding their alumni angel investing activities.
